Backgroundportrait of Tyler Holliday

I joined SSEL in 2021 as a Research Engineer and was tasked with leading the electrical engineering team. During my tenure I have become a Swiss Army Knife. I have developed a varied knowledge base, from PCB design to project management to system engineering. My knowledge base and skillset has allowed me to take on a leadership in the lab. I am our student manager and have mentored a wide array of students who have shown exceptional skill and development.

Of all the work I have done with SSEL, I am most proud of the small satellite REAL. I served as the system and testing engineer for the spacecraft and played a key role in its success.

When I am not working on space hardware and mentoring students, I enjoy playing games with friends and getting some exercise in at the gym.
